The club is open to all individuals wishing to improve their public speaking and leadership skills. Meetings are held every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Queen Creek Town Hall Council Chambers, 22350 S. Ellsworth Road. Guests are always welcome and no reservation is required to attend a Tuesday meeting. The local club is one of more than 11,700 clubs around the world and adheres to the successful program established by Toastmasters International in 1924. Members get practice in various forms of public speaking, from spontaneous think-on-your-feet scenarios to formal prepared speeches. Members receive support from other club members, mentors and program materials. Helping individuals from all walks of life learn to express their ideas verbally in a clear and pleasing manner and gaining self-confidence is the goal of any Toastmasters Club. Personal and professional growth develops as a result. The club began meeting in October 2009 and will soon be celebrating its charter presentation.
