Sierra Vista is considered the Hummingbird Capital of the United States. The city has a variety of other attractions, activities and events that draw people to the area every year. Fort Huachuca, the last active Arizona Army post, is open to visitors with the appropriate passes. The area also offers the National Historic Landmark District, wineries, ghost towns and the Arizona Folklore Preserve.
